Montreal West and Beaconsfield are located on the traditional unceded territory of the Kanien’kehá:ka Nation, custodians of these lands and waters for generations. This area has long been a place of gathering, connection, and community, and it remains today a home for a diverse population, comprised of both Indigenous and non-Indigenous people today.

The Neighbourhood / Le Quartier is an immersive, site-specific audio fiction series inspired by oral histories. Originally created to be experienced on foot in the neighbourhoods where the stories unfold, Season 1 features two versions of the same story, one set in Montreal West and one in Beaconsfield. Each episode can also be enjoyed from anywhere as a standalone audio adventure.
In collaboration with the Quebec Writers' Federation, The Neighbourhood/Le quartier was supported by Le Conseil des Arts de Montréal and the Government of Canada.
Le Quartier / The Neighbourhood est une série de fiction audio immersive et in situ, inspirée de récits oraux. Conçue à l’origine pour être vécue en marchant dans les quartiers où les histoires se déroulent, la première saison propose deux versions d’une même histoire, l’une située à Montréal-Ouest et l’autre à Beaconsfield. Chaque épisode peut également être écouté de n’importe où comme une aventure sonore autonome.
